Progress Update

I’m becoming less and less creative with these entry titles. I have assembled all the parts that I need for my prototype, and got a simple slider to work flawlessly as a midi trigger. I found out that I can use Phidget sensors, which my school has in great abundance in their labs. Also, the modularity and connector design (headphone jack style), means it’s going to be easy to swap sensors in or out as needed. This may make my prototype very easy to modify, maybe even on the fly in the middle of a performance!

I’ll keep things simple intially though. I’m meeting with the musicians later this week to go over some of the sensor configurations, and figure out what seems to work best for them individually. I’ll put some pictures up of everything I’m working on soon.
